Coming from a traditionally Business family, he could not be different. The third generation of the Sirotsky family and grandson of the founder of the RBS Group, Maurício Sirotsky Sobrinho, Eduardo Sirotsky Melzer became an important figure in the business world. He is currently president and chairman of the RBS Group, which covers the states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, and Chairman of the Company Management . He is also chairman and founder of Digital e.Bricks, company RBS investing in business development in the digital sector and operates in Brazil and the United States.
Known as Duda Melzer, Eduardo has built a successful career since he graduated at age 26, in Business Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. Today, with 44, and Master of Business Administration (MBA) and two executive courses made at Harvard Business School, Eduardo is also a board member of the Mercosul Biennial an international contemporary art exhibition that takes place in Porto Alegre, the Iberê Camargo Foundation, the Digital e.Bricks and Wine.com.br, the largest wine shop in Latin America.
Before joining the company of Sirotsky as Director General in 2004, Duda Melzer began his career in North America. He was a Senior Financial Analyst of Delphi Corporation in 2002, and Director-General of non-traditional media company Boxtop the same year he joined the family communication network, both in the United States. Became president of the RBS Group in 2012 and in 2015, took the chairmanship of the corporation’s management. Last year, stamped another star in his resume, the entrepreneur was chosen to compose the list of leaders of the Cambridge Institute for Family Enterprise. Asked about his inspiration for a bright legacy, Eduardo Sirotsky Melzer mentions American John Davis, a Harvard professor and expert in family business, Davis’ relationship with RBS comes from 1999, the company of Sirotsky was his first client in Brazil. They became one of the largest and most important country communication groups.
